Anything that can receive a tv signal means you need a license lol
Scrapping the TVL would be a bad thing IMO. The cost of telly would get stupid. And seeing as we already moan because we are taxed left right and centre, £12pm is not alot to watch telly.
see in my old house i was paying £22...but even so you are right tbh. Ide rather pay that than what it could be! :o
If you agree wiping your **** after having a dump is a pointless waste of 20 seconds of your life everyday, please join my petition here to abolish & enslave tiawanese toilet roll manufacturers.
Get in the real world please for god sake.....
UK terrestrial Television does generally suck though,
for all the millions of citizens that have an interest, be it a sport or hobby, chances are about 60% of viewers dont see any of what they would like to. TV industry boffins will never change from showing endless soap opera drivel, Golf, football, Tennis for 2 weeks in June, countless news broadcasts accross numerous channels at the same time oh & we get a dedicated channel for following what goes on in the commons.
I'm off to catch an episode of Friends I've never seen before.
Tv is garbage,i rarely see anything worth watching, more soaps than Body Shop, drivel like Jeremy Kyle and trisha and whoever else, endless road wars, police camera action, traffic cops,Top gear and friends repeats.
apparently part of the SKY fee goes to the BBC to buy their rights for real-time braodcasting etc etc
not sure how the cost of watching tv would go up if theres no fee's, USA, CANADA CHINA RUSSIA SPAIN etc etc all seem to be doing well without a fee
