Jeez, bets that's been horrible for you, all the best with getting well again :)
also remember to milk it  to the max and enjoy the hospitality/food/easy life for a bit:plol
it is a png tradition to show us either pics of the nurses or your operation scars.....well, jack did....
Feel for you buddy.
I have Crohns disease and had a tough time with it like yourself. I had to have surgery and have some small intestine removed.
My GP was **** too, took 6 months for a diagnosis till i went to a&e and like you i was admitted straight away.
Keep your chin up pal, i've been fine for 5 years now with no flare ups.

well a bit of a update i am getting more and more movement back most days.
i am going to the gp surgery today to have some of my staples out so hopefully that will go well.
edit 17.20: been to the doctors and had the staples removed i think the nurse is happy with it i have my last anti biotic tonight
and my last steroid in morning hopfully these will leave my system fast and healing will speed up after this.
i have had a fast wean of steroids so i was on a big dose a week ago and now on nothing which isnt ment to be the way to do it but they want me to heal fast so the got me off them fast.
i cannot moan at all about my post surgery care and it helps that my partner is a student nurse and can redress my wound and keep it clean
took my last steroid this morning and my dressing is starting to last longer so hopefully good signs
