well i dont know, the v6 discs fit in the caliper nicely and theyre worn down 25mm ones. The meriva discs are 25mm brand new and theyre a tight fit but the pads are also worn and used.
daft question but have you pushed your piston in the caliper far enough back?
well the calipers are off the car so they couldnt of been pressed but i will push the pistons right the way in when i check.
Whats this about shaving the pads down though, do i shave the whole face of each pad down ? And what am i supposed to use a file or grinder or..
I wouldnt be grinding brake pads, thats hobo and fukkin dangerous.Whats wrong with just using fiat coupe 20v discs and drilling the holes out 1mm each.Job done.
cos ive just bought a set of meriva ones so ive got to do it this way now
I got a set of Calibra V6 calipers, a set of Meriva 1.7CDTI 280mm disc and a set of calibra V6 brake pads.
The discs would sit in the calipers fine, but even with the pistons pushed all the way back I just couldn't get the disc in with the pads in place.
