I also shut the M4 between junction 15/16 after 2 24ft staggings ripped the tipper bed of the hire van i was driving for the same hire company.
The po po were about to through the book at me then found the ratched strap still done up with the van bed atached to it.
I was let off and Rygor vans (hire company) took the blame for an unfit van lol
Fook me id be screwing the owner of the boom for a new bastid car!!
I once drag raced a pair of cherry pickers down the M42 at 3am taking up both North bound lanes :)
cool.
Have you ever worked in the tool hire trade ?
The reason i ask as the funnest thing ever is sitting on a petrol concrete planner and then open up the throttle and try to stay on.
If your unsure what one is its like the ones cleaners use to buff the school floors up but petrol powered and you can fold the handle over then sit on it.
oh the good old days lol.
LOL in't trade no but hired all kinds off things lolQuote:

Cherry pickers are a right laugh when you would take the customer up in it to show them how the controlls worked.Once all booms were fully extended drop the main boom backwards as it leaves your stomach still up there.
shocked a few with that one then say sorry i hit the wrong leaver lol.

Then later that day we went to park the cherrp picker and my mate was chatting away to me flat out in rabbit mode hit a speed bump, the bucket hit the floor the catpulted both of us out the basket lol, it burst the hydralics and then broke a barrier heh fun day!!!
on another site, i thought it would be a good idea to strap his harness to the basket and raise the cherry picker up.. then i decided spin him fast as i could man did he go white!
i threw myself out of a cherry picker in the middle of llandudno once, hit the kerb while drivin it down to road, basket hit the deck and pinged me off when it bounced back. left me hangin on the outside by the lanyard of my harness.
messin about on plant FTW
