That used to be the case here many moons ago, and all people did was whinge they couldn't reply to threads!
I like the fact people can reply. It keeps threads fluid, and allows prospective buyers to gauge the level of interest in parts. Obviously the flip side is it needs heavy policing.
Don't forget there's the report thread button.
It's not just FS threads though.
Nostalgia forum anyone? lol
does any other person use that apart from me lolQuote:

One thing i am running through my mind is a minimum post count before adverts can be put up, similar is done on many websites, and although i wont set it as high as some, it would maybe stop the fly by night chancers on a scam if they had to be part of the community for so long.
Thought i would make it abit more public and see if any feedback would warrant it a decent move or another wasted idea lol :thumb:
I think it is a good idea Dan:thumb:Quote:

For cars for sale i wouldnt recommend this, as if somone selling a nova they will come advertise here which gives members/enthusiasts the chance to see it. People selling a car wont want to be a part of the forums and post just to advertise a car.
No replies to for sale threads wouldnt work, especially with non paid members as inbox's get filled up too quick and theres no way to contact sellers
instead of number of posts couldnt we have a time limit, like a month?
On the flip side, some people come on here breaking a decent spec nova with zero posts, decent parts, decent prices, and are legit....
tbh i think a time limit would be alot harder to setup ?? alas i cannot confirm that as i am no computer geek, thats what Kev is for :thumb:
your points are valid tho and the reason i mentioned it on this thread is so everyone that wants a say can have one
There have been a few scams going on around various sites on the net (all marques) and with the current economic climate it 'could' become a more common sight. If the ruling only stopped one or two people getting scammed and loosing money then i think it would of served its purpose.
I am not a computer geek either so have no idea?
The only thing I'm thinking is someone can bang 50 posts up in a few days then scam away?
