That's because the arches and sills were replaced 3 years ago, along with most other normally rotten areas since. But the rust on the floor was just getting out of control, along with the front crossmember and chassis legs starting to fall apart where they join together.
It didn't make it to any shows last year either, I couldn't afford to get the paintwork sorted (it was sprayed with rattle cans in 2005, and was all cracking and fading) and JOV needed vans to get stuff to them so I hired them. After Billing last year I just lost interest in it, and was getting annoyed by the poor cold starting and randomness of an idle. Most of my driving in it was trips across town, barely getting over 25mph due to heavy traffic, not the best conditions for a lively set-up with a steady idle only above 1000rpm.

Ahh, still got the block though! But after finally getting a 2.0l with the vectra, I have to admit to not enjoying the prospect of going back to one.Quote:
