My apologies "c16xe pressure plate (cover) and nova TD friction plate.
I see no reason to change the flywheel? afaik people do that when they want to run a 2.0 8v on an F13 or F15.....
Sorry my mistake, your right about the flywheel. Td friction plate is the same as any other small block fitment clutch and iirc the input shaft on a f20 doesn't suit any small block clutch so its a case of going custom.
Its been years since i had all thoe sort of parts kicking around though so i cant check but i am sure its not that straight forward although its not a major issue to sort
So we still arn't any clearer on this one which, is a pain as i was hoping there would be a cheaper and easier solution to this (like there ever is lol)
Some of the 1.7 na corsas diesels use small block gearboxes and the cav 1.7td use big block box so could i fit the fly and clutch from a cav td? Not sure if the bolt pattern on the 1.7isuzu engine is the same as the 1600 16v thought??
the z16ler/leh gasket turned up today and it fits the x16xe head bonus lol
thats a standard vxr turbo im going for lol
Thats a result dude and the standard vxr turbo is very tempting as it means less hassle - no manifold construction, a straight forward fit (ish) reasonably priced and off the shelf but that manifold looks really restirctive see here and i think they run out of puff at 220 bhp so i'm stuck here  need to have a think about what to do.Quote:

im only hoping for about 200bhp mate should be good fun, the turbo's are only £500 new :)
I'm looking for similar power too. So we will see, like i said i will have to have a think and a price up on parts - i've been in contact with Borg Warner today to see what price i can get the vxr unit for through work, but vauxhall turbos tend to be cheap from the main dealer.Quote:
