clutch wise you'd need the small block flywheel a small block c16 friction plate but with f20 splines... i would assume!
splines are different between the f20 and f28
why not fit an f23 from the astra gsi turbos? 5 speed lighter than the f28 but will cope with anything your 1600 will ever throw at it can be bought for 80-100
Because the F23 has strange mounts, the f20 is strong enough and the F23 shares splines with the F28Quote:

As I mentioned Helix do them, I've had one made before for a friend.
You can get anything at a cost, but personally for 200bhp and less torque than a let Id be using a 50 quid F20 box and a motorfactors clutch kit for 60 quid as opposed to 100 quids worth of F23 and a Helix organic plate.

If he uses a F20 he will have to have a clutch plate modified as their is no off the shelf item to fit a 16xe flywheel and F20 splines
If I understand Ali's post right he's saying that an astra 1.7TD clutch would fit?
Id certainly be prepared to try a 16xe cover with a TD pressure plate
So thats a 16xe friction plate and TD pressure plate? I'm guessing by your previous answer about torque that there shouldn't be any issues with slip using this set up?Quote:
