Andy Windsor's q-plate LET 1995/1996. Note renault wheels, sitrine paintwork (special RS Mondeo colour! All the rage back then!) and bonnet vents, which were seen as an essential mod back in the day... This car re-appeared years later for a mag feature in Max Power virtually identical-looking!

ive got the Max pooer somewhere when they featured that :thumb:
Got another 4 pages of that feature to scan in, but i'll make my own thread I think, and put my Revs feature on as well!

Stunning GSI circa 1995!
I realy need to get my old mags scanned in!! I'm in that redline rolling road shhot out and my current Gsi is in the first one, also redline I belive?
and how young do you look lmao
Just as a matter of interest, there are a few NW lads in that shootout. SOME people were not invited because the Yorks PNG didn't want 6 of us turning up in valvers and blowing everyone into the weeds! There were Brett, Me , Nick Caro, Lee Wetherilt, Joff and someone else.
Lovin this thread!!!
So just dug out my old photos and took pics of them with phone.
Here we go:
The white ones were mine. My first 1.2 with deep dish rims and then my SRI with black bumpers and 17s. Really wish still had that.
And the black valver was one I spotted at Max Live years ago

Wow. I didnt think too much of Cris Bows Nova back in the day but seeing that feature has brought it all back & I'm in love with it. Cavalier leather seats look awesome.
Those old school Courtenay touches were so classy & seperated the men from car park boys in the trashy budget SRs etc.
Is Jon Walsh's 1.3 SR still alive????
Yeah, i speak to Walshy coccasionally. \\He's still got his golf rallye as well
Yes it sure is, got a message off him to say hes looking for a new engine for it, last time it was seen was on the hard shoulder of the M1 i think which was back in the Redline days I think?Quote:

yeah, he had some trouble getting it mot'd. he worked for VW for a while at our Milton Keynes head office, so i'm still in touch.
Ive just picked up a scanner for the PC & scanned a bunch of my photo's in.
See what you think.....
