WIP Nova turbo. almost done!

Havnt updated this for ages so thought id better. Been buying a few parts and finally i have everything to get it back on the road.

After fitting the f28 i realised the mount sat right where my intercooler outlet was. So ive had to cut a section out of the crossmember so it will sit further forward and slighty lower, the bumper has also been choped up to aid airflow.

Hopefully going for a mot a week monday if all goes well.

i bit the bullet and brought the rosejointed tie bar mounts from chris astley, fitted them last week. will get some pics soon.

Cossie webber regulator has been sourced to sort the fuel pressure

Bung welded in and the down pipe is back on, just got to wire up the wideband now

My injectors arrived back yesterday from being cleaned. you can see from the results they needed doing! Fitted them this morning enableing the loom to go back in.

Phase 2 ecu also arrived yesterday, i had brought phase 3.5 but have decided against it as i dont want to run the engine at its limits.

p2 rocks. you'll love the f28 more tho! aren't intercoolers just a pain in the a$$!!

tell me about it, i f**ked about for ages when i fitted the irmscher kit, then the f28 puts me back to square one.

I think i made the right choice going for phase 2, i read a few things about people having problems with ph 3.5.

hopefully this will be the last time the cars off the road for a long time, i just really want to enjoy it instead of working on it all the time.

phase 2 is generally very reliable and only really tolls on the turbo (if standard). and is plenty quick enough in a road going nova!

reliability is a factor im really looking at now, one of the reason i coughed up for the wideband.

Ive got a reconned hybrid so the turbo should be ok for a while

been busy this week,

welding in some angle after cuting the cross member up, doesnt look all that pretty, but its not going to be seen.

next on the list was to roughly set up my actuator, so it starts to open at 10 psi now, im going to see what its like to drive an adjust it from there

while i had the druck out, i though id better set up the webber fuel regulator, dont think your going to get any more accurate than that!

Made up th removable slam panel, it over laps the original. just need to paint it.

Seats are now back in completing the interior and ive started cutting the bonnet to fit my aero catch flush bonnet pins.

Lastly i calibrated my wideband, on idle im getting a afr of 15.5, got to check to see if this is right.
