If its got high comp pistons, they will have valve cut outs.

Thus the cams will be fine.

I personally, would do as I saidlol Put it all back to standard, to a very good (wiring plumbing etc) job of converting it, and then add the bits back into the mix.

Or, just run it how it is, but, on standard management, with them pistons/cams/throttleboddies, you will never see the best power.

However its an excellent engine for a base:thumb:

it isnt the ecu bud it is some ppl want the bigest cams available because they think they must be the best but it dont work like that. let new that engine ran like a bag of **** and still robed some one who didnt now any beter whitch to me is realy low.

IMO

pick up a standard XE. for 300 quid ish.

fit it, wire it in, and run it.

then with your spare engine, either break it. or work on it, learn with it and add the fancy bits to your engine once you understand the parts etc.

my 2p. id get the head off, check the pistons, if they are std then change the cams for stock ones. if they are pocketed, then the cams will be fine, and you need mappable management. or fit std cams and runa std ecu. the dbilas is designed to be compatible with a stock xe ecu and engine.
