havnt updated this in a while, havnt really done much worth of an update. have just been filling/sanding/smoothing the engine bay. all my hard work paid off today as i managed to get it in primer.

has come out fairly well, undecided if i want to paint the bay myself or just wait untill it goes in to the bodyshop to have the rest of the body done. dont really want to spray it where the car is at the moment because tons of shxt gets blown about.
other small things to update are...
ive got hold of a new set of keys for my fuel cap, so thats sorted now.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...0042010022.jpg
bought my fuel pipe ready to fit on the car once its been painted.

also bought a new rear bumper today from nutty nova(nathan). i needed to get a new rear bumper as mine had twisted from being stored wrong, i was also planning on smoothing it to match the front so buying this one will save me time and money in the long run. the splitter will get changed over from my old bumper.

thats all for now, might have an update soon.
so untill next time, thanks for looking.
Looking nice, progress being made.
Where did you get the pipe from? I found some for a real good price imo on eBay.
Need to work out how to bend the pipe though, don't have a pipe bender.
Look good Brucer, is it in Arden Blue? Looks a flat colour in some pics?
Regarding the kit - gotta be having the grey bottoms!!
Bend the pipe by hand. It bends really easily and doesn't kink.Quote:

Bay looks good dude.
i got mine from ebay too, had to wait a few extra days as they ran out of stock. should be easy enough to do it by hand.Quote:

cheers benn, means alot.Quote:

I've just used 7/8mm copper tubing from B&Q for my fuel lines, iirc it was about £13 a roll, Vauxhall wanted £13 a metre..
went and fetched this on wednesday...

was a nice cheap buy, highly unlikely ill be using it on this car but was too cheap to miss out on.
i connected up to our jump pack at work to see if all the lamps worked, only 3 did. the wiring was a bit jumbled and after trying a new bulb in that lamp (and still not working) i decided to re-wire it all.

stripped all the old wiring down and planned my route of attack. scotch locks seemed a decent idea to connect all the lamps into one piece of wire. made up 2 mini looms for live and earth then attached them to the lamps. ended up looking like this...

alot tidyer, it also made all 4 lamps work.:)

im sure ill find another car to fit it to for a bit of fun. may buy another bonnet to fit it to so i can swap it over anytime i feel like.
have also got a quote for sand blasting and powder coating my suspension and roll cage/rear brace. they are as follows..
153pound for rear beam, both lower arms, both knuckles, both tie bars, calipers, drums and drum back plates.
100-150pound for the 6point cage inc. door bars and rear brace.
once ive had the car painted ill be having all that done.
update on the car hopefully tomorrow.
