Nice one mate, really does look great and I totally agree about building engines that aren't covered in 5hit !

From what i can understand, the vxr rods will fit the xe crank so i think i will be going the standard rod route for me :thumb:
what gear box were you planing on running ???
you just sticking to na now ???
NA?? no mate i'm using a upgraded T25 (very similar spec to the gt25r - i can supply full spec if your interested) and if the rods and pistons from the vxr fit with little hassle i will be using them also, as for the box i was thinking f20 as its the simplest box to fit that can handle the most torque - i don't know how the f15 would cope and its a bit of a grey area in that most peoples opinion is just try it and see how long it takes for you to funk it (although i would ideally love a small block sccr but i can't justify spending the ££ atm) what box are you using?Quote:

Why would you want an SCCR box on a turbocharged car? Unless youre buying new with custom ratios?
oh i need to read things properley lol i spoke to auto vaux today the pistons are £220 plus the vat mate  if i cant find a strong small block box i will use an f28 it has been done before iirc  when are you planning on collecting and building your engine ?Quote:

Most sccr kits have a tiny drop off in revs and on a small turbo that will mean your always out of the powerband, the same could be said for a NA engine too IMO.
There great on engines with a peaky powerband though wether it be FI or NA

You have to remember there are LOADS of ratios available for that box, I would personally like to see 2 identical nova lets, one with a F28 and one with a sccr to prove which is better as from what I have seen they do not suit the powerband a KKK gives a let engine, fair enough if its on a bigger turbo though but I think the gearing on a F28 is just about spot on for a let.
