Evening everyone, as the weather has been complete sh!te over the last couple of days i haven't wanted to open the garage door as the rain would just come poring in - its been coming down sideways! Anyway for that reason i've been doing bits and bobs inside so here are some pointless pics of an engine being stripped enjoy!

Job done, hopefull it might stop raining tomorrow so i can do some welding!
nice bit of progress :) Keep at it.
It would be coming along a lot quicker if i wasn't saving money for this bastid house!
I went on to SBD's web site and i can't afford any of the bits i want
lol Screw the SBD bit's just make a nice spec reliable turbo job, don't go wasting your money..:thumb:Quote:

Dont get me started on houses lol just had to lay down a 15% deposit, thats to get a half decent mortgage. They want 25% for all the "good" ones
Then theres everything else.
Scott i'm not going to waist money and i will build the best engine i can on my budget its just there are so many nice things that are so so expensive!
Ste i was looking at rods, uprated oil pump internals, remote oil filters, basically browsing at everything and its depressing. Trust me i feel your pain on this house bollox who realisticaly is going to have 25% ffs!
Well i hope you dont/didn't take offense by what i said, im just saying you can spend all the money in the world, on fancy this and that, expensive bit's here and there, but IMO it dont seam worth it, as unless your going to use the car at a sponsored based competitive level it's not worth chucking all the money into it etc, you might think im wrong, but it's just i think we all get carried away on here trying to "compare dick sizes" lol it's a nova that wont get used everyday, wont get used fully competitive, so is it necessary??
I only come to this conclusion after realising i have spent enough on mine, and can not validated spending any more massive amounts on a car that wont get used "properly"
Scott
Dude your completely right, and no offence taken at all, i'm not after spending silly again just doing it to the best of my ability first time round so i'm not wasting time and money more than anything.Quote:

Oh i totally agree with that, i would do it too (if i know what i was doing lol) and rebuild it, that way you know whats what etc, and i guess i would look for some H section rod's/and ARP's just to make sure that all nice and strong for the boost, but thats about it, els it's money money money again..
