The blue shell? That's a shame :( Did you run out of enthusiasm/money?
I'm after a quick fix though tbh, not looking for a mega project, just a donor car that I can drop the lump into. There are a couple of interesting one's on AT at the moment.

Oli, I have a corsa sport here, I want the engine out of it for my loon project, if you come round with a crane and help me liberate it of its parts you can have the shell for your time and help removing the engine etc?
Let me know..
Be nice to see it get used instead of crushed.
I need the engine loom, ecu key fob security parts, and the fuel lines/wires for pump and pump etc
The shell is complete it still has a dash but no seats at all, Ive borrowed the front brakes for my nova, but i do have a 288mm setup im selling.
Pm me if you want to have chat, or pop over to see it etc.
Soooo I have returned to the Nova fold, purchased an unmolested F-plate 1.3SR with 51,000miles on the clock, pretty much rust free (some surface and slight bubbling on arch edges, but boot floor, bottoms of doors/wings, battery tray, front panel all solid) :)
Unsure whether to leave as is and just drive it, or to fit the throttle bodied 1.6 16v engine into it
Pics will follow after a wash tonight
Sounds good! Looking forward to some pictures!
Lol you serious?
If so we need to badger Neil into pulling his finger out on the silver gsi.
Why not have the TB'ed 1.6 in a nice non stripped and tracked shell? Best of both then...
Bloody hell Oli with an "i" back in a Nova, there's chance that one day I'll get another then if you've bought one lol
Looking forward to the updates ;)
I know, crazy isn't it!
Here's some iPhone pics after a wash, needs a proper going over (clay, polish, wax etc).

Christ that looks lovely and looks so clean too. Bloody good find.
Thats awesome, best colour too.
I vote that you wang the 1.6 into it, but keep it exactly like that.
Fit some 4 pots that fit under those wheels too...
ha cool, everyone will say leave it lol
I would strip it, fit the 16v, fit an off the shelf cage, 4 pots and anthracite Astra GTE wheels then leave it otherwise standard.
But that's just me.
Jesus dude where the funk did you find that!?
If it was me id fit your engine keep everthing in like seats dash etc and i would get some nice wildwood brakes to fit under 15s and get cav slabs and make them look like the trims, anthracite and red griffin..
Awesome..
Tidy, seems a shame to butcher it about though.
Welcome back Oli.
That's a little cracker, mate!
Leave as is, especially the wheel trims, imo.
It all depends on your propsed use for the car though!
That's mint mate. What a great find. Good luck with the new build.
big block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stick the engine in it
Oh no, what have I done. Nova's are not as I remember them :cry::cry:
I think my day job may have spoiled me a little too much to appreciate the charm of Luton's finest. This one may find it's way to the for sale section a bit sooner than expected :(
Fit some decent suspension, brakes and tyres /wheels first, not surprised you don't like it with all that OE crap on it
Oli, just put some cav slabs on it in the style of the trims, add some billy suspension, and ate brakes, youll soon see a d ifferent side to it.
But if not drop me line if your thinking of selling..
All cav slabs want melting down lol lol
What feels so 'different' Oli?
I think I'm just spoilt at work. I've become accustomed to driving some of the finest cars made. So jumping into a Nova to head home, just doesn't fill me with delight. The steering, brakes, suspension, driving position, engine performance, refinement etc etc are all poor by today's standard, let alone compared to the Ferrari/Porsche/Jag/Range Rover etc I may have been driving at work. My current daily is an Alpina D3 and that is excellent in almost every aspect (IMO obviously).
I'm not sure what I was expecting really, I just have very fond memories of my old nova. But short of spending thousands creating DHDev Mk2, it would never be the same. If I was to spend that sort of time/money, sadly I think I'd rather invest it into a more modern/RWD car :(
Harsh reality of growing up and maturing in your car taste - Happens to us all :(
