WOW. HAsnt taken too long to get to that stage.
Good luck with the Moment Of Truth. I'll be bricking it if mine ever gets tested again.

Probably one of the best WIP threads Joff, testament to your hard work!
Cant wait to look round it! Good luck with the ticket!
He certainly saw it through which is more than can be said of many of the projects on MIG.
Dedication on the scale of Roy Castle!
Looks good joff. Love those wheels, miles better than the voodoo's.
/\/\ Doh.
The Voodoo's are going on.
Going to be using both - the GM ones for just running around and the Wolfrace ones for shows etc.Quote:

joff cars lookin ace mate got too say again this is one of the best (sorry to ask where did you get the rad from and what was the price) cheers
i just cummed...
Looks great Joff, cooler and rad look bloody huge now its outside!
LOL.
Joff I just looked at the tree in the middle pic between yours & your neighbours house & you can see how much its rown since you have been building the car (compared to the pic in your avatar).
Looks awesome Joff, colour looks completely different in the light.
Love that Joff, cant belive the size of the intercooler!! its huge!
Radtech in Cannock I think - around the ?300 mark if I remember correctly. Did a pukka job as I needed a thinner core due to the turbo so they used a core with more fins per square inch to compensate.Quote:

Had to take the intercooler off after the pics were taken as it wouldn't clear the back of the transporter !!!! It started to rain as well - MY BABY HAS GOT WET !!!!!
Should be away till next Thursday/Friday when I will nip up and pick it up. Got loads of jobs to do sorting the front speaker pods into the door pockets and installing the rear speakers into the side shelves (again all bespoke work as the're 6" in the front and 5 1/4" jobbies in the rear).
Also need a major clean up in the garage!
Joff
Nice work joff. things are looking real good mate. Liking the intercooler!
well done again mate. another really nice nova! :thumb:
joff what a lovely piece of art you've done there.
just a question.what rear spoiler is that as i've been after one like that but without the brake light?
amazing work...:thumb:
Its a predator spoiler.
As Long Live the Nova says its known as a Predator and is made by Pi.Quote:

Cheers for the comments, having looked at my nova from the previous version I think I will raise it up by about 20mm as I feel its a bit too low so the front bumper will clear the dip in the end of my drive!!
Joff
amazing!never noticed how big the intercooler acctually is!even though it was the first thing that caught my eye when i came to see it!!
stunnin pics seein it all together !!
Take some pics of your garage, as it is before you tidy it up. Wanting to know if everyones a lazy as me, and just sweeps a heap of tools/rubbish/fagbutts/drink bottles/bolts/metal/welding wire/gas bottles/broken drillbits/blunt blades/screws/old car bits into one pile then just throws it all into a few body bags when the car goes!
Car looks awesome by the way and cant wait to see it at PV!
cant beleive its nearly finished, as every one else has already said, amazing work mate!
quality Joff, keep up the good work
Pleased to confirm it passed its MOT test yesterday !!!!
Got a couple of cautions - both rear wheel bearings excessive play (don't they all - nip them up too tight and they will burn out!) and an intermittant horn (blame that on on the snap-off steering boss).
Didn't think that was too bad really for what is in essence a complete new rebuild!!
Need to tax it this morning and drive it back from Bridlington - first time really out on the roads so should be interesting - the wife will be following in the vectra just in case (if she can keep up lol )
Joff
good news joff, see you at PV :thumb:
thats is good news as above see you at pvs
Thats great news Joff! Hope your maiden voyage is a little more rewarding than Rick's! :(
Awesome Joff! Can't wait to see the workmanship in person at PV :thumb:Quote:

Seems to run fine and comes on boost (just -as I'm just running in) when it should. One slight problem which I need to sort - no speed reading - I will need to check the connection on the digidash sender unit and make sure its getting power. May also disconnect the passenger side dash to see whether this is affecting it in any way.
The EPAS works brill. Its really heavy whilst sat without the ignition on - turn on the ignition and start the engine and it becomes considerably lighter to turn.
I need to sort out the electric windows as well (which will be in the door builds) as it was rather hot behind glass today!!!
All in all very good !!!
Just need to finish off the ICE and give it a damn good clean ready for PVS. Got some Meguairs stuff coming!
Cheers for now
Joff
Nice one Joff!
I guess its almost there (bar teething issues) cant wait to get a good look over this one at PV.
How are you running it in? It needs plenty of overrun to get a good ring seal early on.
joff the oil cooler look very very low in the pic dont want no scraps
unreal work top job
/\ looks like an FMIC to me - would be a stupidly large oil cooler bud lol
Top is the rad, bottom is the IC - so i beleive.
> Fantastic work joff, as i said earlyer this was my inspiration to get a nova and do a full rebuild. I can just dream of the same quality final product! absolutely stunning.
Been busy with getting the door builds and rear shelves and parcel shelf sorted.
Started hacking up the door pockets ...

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15...va/build2a.jpg
Started to fibreglass and then smooth off with filler:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15...va/build4a.jpg
Also started on the rear shelves , I want to fit my 5 1/2 inch infinity two ways so here's my solution :-
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15...va/shelf1a.jpg
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y15...va/shelf2a.jpg
Also got hold of a MDF rear shelf which I then set about cutting up to clear the shelves :-

I also can now reveal the theme for my Nova - its a Nova 888 (i.e triple eight engineering) . Based on the Astra 888 limited edition, my nova shares the same colour (Europa Blue), same seats (Sparco Tornios), interior with similar ques (blue central area) and a turbo engine (albeit mines a C20LET not a Z20LET) . So I have badged up the back accordingly .....

And here's a coupe of pics on the drive ....

Enjoy

Any more pics of this beast?
Top work fella, lose the badges tho they look tacky (imo) !!
Rich
yeah i was going to say that as well -- but its a personal touch
Lose Nova - keep 888
need some Team Dynamics pro race 1.2's
Don't mind the 888 badge, lose the nova one tho/ replace it. the lettering i made mine from is very similar to the new style vauxhall iirc it came from speeding.com
Excuse the position, it was a rushed job.
