bike can in the centre
hope you dont mind count, i wanna use the back box as its "flat" and straight through. but i think im gonna get a 90 degree bend and hang it that way, like below.
and baxter, no.

do you have any centre silencers ?
thing is the car is very sleeperfied, therefore a standardish box would be better. i say standardish as you dont want some pea shooter thing for those 150 horses to squeeze through
no...:D
and burgo, i agree. the main pipe is 2.25 straight through, and then the back box i think is 1.75, so abit of a squeeze. but not a massive amount.
if i feel its holding the car back, i can always uprate it for a better one. and yeh i wanna keep the sleeper look about it.
but it looks crap hanging out the back like that, cant you took it up into the car a little more, so you cant see the box lol
you WILL need a centre box, or it will be a plod puller on tick over lol
lol baxter, do you read my replies lol, this is why im saying i wanna do it like counts where it sits more under the car, as in my last pic, thats as far back as it will go currently.
and the system will be tested, and if i think i need a centre silencer i will get one lol. p.s the nova never had one! :D
Imitation is the best form of flattery lol

Get yourself some aluminium angle iron now an make some proper tidy brackets from that?
Ala: (altho not a rad mount but you get the idea)

flat bar, top ones just need 2 L shaped bits, fitted upside down if that makes sense, due to the tickness its strong enough to hold it.
also id have fixed them under the slam panel for neat ness.
As above, i too saw them mounts and thought No....
I mean they just look out of place, simple L brackets would look better mate.
Scott
i have a good idea martin, let me do a pic in a bit mate :)
reminds me of the titanic, started so well, then ended in tears :(
Deffo need changing, sharp edges in a engine bay is a bad idea, when working on it of course.
et voila:

rubber bush the end on the bodywork, using fuel pump bushes.
meh...
AW06. i need to clean them up, from their current state so there is less excess and no sharp edges.
baxter. great
Mike. im not sure what that is, but it looks weak as anything, and the holes are not swaged so they actually make the item weaker, and as rob said, it needs to be L shaped.
Rob, thanks for the ideas. but the thick flat stuff, would it not fatigue under the bend.
and also rob, thats not a bad idea for the placement of the brackets, but im not sure what i would do on the side...
nope, as youd be rubber mounting it ;) so no stress.
no no, at some point i have to bend it into a L shape.
would it not fatigue then...
id be more worried about ripping the rear diff to bits, then a little alloy bracket lolQuote:

lol i hear what your saying rob,
mounting it where you have suggested. there is no "up-down" support.
and i have worked out some brackets, based on the technique i used for the above ones.
Your brackets at the bottom will cover that. WOuld have to agree, those brackets are abit, erm, well lets just say maybe back to the drawing board?Quote:
