Looking good, interesting project you have on the go here.

I will try again!
As promised i said i would try and post a few more pics of what we have been upto with the car.
Firstly we had to get all the hub carriers mounted on the jig in the correct place, these allow us to build the car up with out the wheels on and hold everything square and solid. These are 6mm lazer cut with a 90deg support bracket. The pcd is 4 x 100 (obviously) these are cut to suit a 17" wheel with a 50 profile tyre.
We had to find all the centrelines of the hubs by building the car up then taking all the measurment from a datum point (a piece of box across the front tie bar mounts).

You can see in this pic where the centre of the wheels sit in relation to the shell :)

And the rear

Now everythig is sitting how it should we could make a start on the hub carriers and wishbone's.
Firstly we needed to make the hub carriers. Wev decided to use the standard stub axle to make sourchig bearings and spares easier.
We originally had the bent up from a flat piece of 6mm lazer cut plate, but the press break wasnt doing its job properly and not leaving them square  My mate has ended up tigging them together. Afraid i dont have any progress pics. They arnt quite finished yet. Heres what we have for now:

Top view, theres still a plate to be welded on the top:
http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/stuaxle2.jpg
The tubes than run acros the top and bottom of the stub axle carrier are CDS, they still have to be welded on the inside of the carriers.
These then have steel slugs with an M12 thread pressed ino each side and pudle welded into the tube, these welds have been polished out cos im a poof.
The slugs were knocked up on this baby:

Voila, 8 off m12 slugs, these all had o be an interfearance fit in the tube with a 45 chamfer to get a decent penetration with the weld.

Whilst on the lathe i had to make 8 nylon bush's and 16 nylon washers  very time consuming as i aint no machinist im a leccy lol

Washers:

Good work going into this - It'll be very very low...? :)
Christ that will be low!
the rear frame looks trick as funk.
It was then time to make a start on the wishbones.
Started off by cutting 8 lenghts of the same CDS tube that we used on the stub axle carriers. We then profiled one end of each tube. I also parted off 8 32mm pieces of CDS to used for the bush housing.
I then welded the 32mm pieces to the profiled end of the tube:

No bush:

Once all 8 were welded up i could press the nylon bushs in using the enerpac. These have to be aight fit as i donnt want the spinning in the housing.
Going in:

Finished item:

Now i have 8 complete bush housings and all the washers i could start making the bolts that hold the wishbones to the carriers. These all had to be made as sets so once the washers were matched up to the housing they had to stay with bolts. So i marked the washers and bushes to keep them in these sets.
I started off with 32mm high tensile bolts i then turned them down to match the inside dia of the bush and washer. The length of the turned down part is determined by the width of the washer and bush housing. The rest of the bolt was then turned down to acept an m12 thread. I dont have any pics at the min of the bolt un assembled, will get some later. Heres the bolt loosley assembled with the washer and housing into the carrier.
Once tightned up these are the pivot points for the wishbones/carriers:
