We then called it a day and returned Yesterday to try and get everything connected/fitted and get it running. A lot of time was spent making sure all of the wiring was placed and routed properly.

We then got the rocker cover, inlet manifold and exhaust manifold fitted and it was then time to see if everything paid off.
At first it only wanted to fire for a very, very short amount of time but eventually we got it running and ticking over. None of the inlet manifold breathers were connected so it was running very rough.
Here's a short video of the first "proper" run. (It's very loud as there was no exhaust fitted just the manifold which resulted in flames from the manifold)

We then got most of the inlet breathers connected temporarily and it then ticked over and sounded very good!

We then set about finalising all of the wires but I never got a picture of the finished article.

I'm going over again on Tuesday to get the exhaust, cage and dash fitted. I can then get everything sorted ready for it's MOT.

As for it spitting flames, id check the crank pulley sensor bracket, there cast alloy and tend to snap (meaning the sensor will be a few degrees out) I fitted a x16xe in a corsa b earlyer this year, and if you reved it, let off, and reved again it would shoot a flame out the exhaust. It was the crank pulley sensor bracket)
Its fairly comming together now :D

A couple of days later I got the new front bumper fitted and started working on the engine bay again and got my modified Corsa airbox fitted. I trawled the scrapyards and managed to find a filter pipe from a 1.0 Corsa which was a perfect fit! All I had to do was drill a hole in it for the air temp sensor:

Then it was time to fit my newly painted early tailgate and Stikaflex my spoiler on. I'm glad I fitted the early boot as it improves the look of the car so much.

I also fitted my newly painted colour coded strut brace and temporarily fitted my washer bottle as it will be mounted in the scuttle area when I get the chance to do so.

That evening we started on the dreaded Aerocatches! First of all a rough shape was cut out using an air-saw and the remaining parts were trimmed using a dye grinder.
