trust me. a turbo or a supercharger when fitted to a 100 hp engine, would easily make the engine kick out 150hp. but if you could remove the drive for the supercharger from the engine & power it from an elec motor, the engine would kick out 200hp. they waste a lot of energy to make powerQuote:

Trouble is, you dont get free power. An eleccy motor would need a fapping great alternator to power it to the speeds you would need to get it to perform, which would probably sap just as much power from the motor as the pulley would.Quote:

Both methods are worth the losses for the gains, Turbo's may be more efficient, but SG's dont come with the inherent heat problems, and thats what's always put me off tubbies, so if I ever went forced induction, it would be a blower every time methinks.
