small up date, got the rest of the parts stripped off the engine bay and started buffing of the rust with a wire wheel on the grinder,hoping to get it into primmer at the weekend.

I never seen that when Freddie had it...
someone had covered all the joints with sealer at some time, it looked a mess, but keep the water out tho. some small rust round the legs, but i have seen worse. there was a hole in the battery box and a hole where the bonnet cable comes thew the bulk head.Quote:

Seam sealer is nasty stuff, traps water too. Hole should be there for the cable, be next the the throttle cable hole.Quote:

got the engine bay primed tonight, once it drys i will flat it smooth with 320 sand paper, seal up the joints with sealer and then reprime it all..:D
