I didnt realise it was about a weight issue. :dQuote:

James; what makes the T25 core more efficient than a T2?
iv just sat here for the past 7 odd hours reading through all 176 pages of this and all i can say is wow all the work you'v done to this is incredible especially ur fab work, it was a shame the original plans are going ahead but you have your reasons
the new plans do look very tasty tho i will be watching this :thumb::thumb::thumb:
brilliant bit of fabrication work there pal
Do the f13/15 numbers relate to the torque they can cope with (this is what i was lead to believe for the F20/28 box's?)Quote:

Craig what boost pressure are you running? I aim to run as little as possible.
The T25 is simply a more modern efficient design of turbo than the T2 and is more suited to my needs although, i am building a hybrid T25 so it will be different to any 'off the shelf' units. With the .49 A/R turbine housing i am using the power should be progressive instead of laggy and torque steer should be reduced.
With the hybrid unit i will be able to run less boost pressure to achieve the same power (compared to a standard T25) due to the upgraded comp wheel and high flow comp cover but still keep the T25 silhouette.
mr bowyer told me f15 gearbox= 150lbft torque handling capabilties
So a gentle turbo could work for a bit..?
Thats what i thought - so i'm likely to funk it fairly quickly as i don't intend to do 'gentle'.Quote:
