The solid mounts are an absolute nightmare to fit!!!!
How do people usually fit the drivers side mount to the engine mount? as originally the mount is threaded, but solid ones aint..... I ended up having to put a bolt through from the inside of the chassis leg
And the rear mount hole was way off, meaning ive had to cut a slot where the hole was to open it out, so i could get the bolt through. Bad news being its weakened the bracket quite a bit imo, will have to keep an eye on it as its even weaken than it was originally. And plenty of people find the bracket twists......

Will get some decent pics tomorrow.
good work :D solid mounts the way forward
Coming together nicely Adam, good stuff.
Cheers lads.
It seems having to elongate the hole in the rear mount for solids is normal...

your brave, lifting that engine in with that little bit of rope, you know them redtop are heavy, id at least of used a 5ton rated chain lol
Good work dude, and pfft glue mounts rule!
Mounts sound shonky tbh.
Meh
The weight increase is made up for with the superior power and TORQUE :p
It actually fits in easier than a std baby valver due to not having the huge inlet etc hitting things.
Are you using std mounts on your let  :eek:Quote:
