Looking absolutely fabulous Nick, shame I can't make Billing this year, we'll have to have a "Local" meet at York Dragway or something;)
Thanks Martin, Its really nice to hear comments like that from a guy thats been on the scene for such a long time. :)Quote:

Royston.... Thanks fella! I had heard you werent making billing this year..... such a shame! Im sure we can sort out a local meet between a few of us. Be good to get a few novas together. ;)
Nick.
You know I love that yellow, just don't park it anywhere near mine when mines done or I might just start seeing too many flaws (or acquire your keys) lol
Grey is very similar to my normal 'secondary' colour too, pretty sure the appeal is pretty universal with this one but it certainly strikes a chord with me :d
Top progress as usual Nick. Even the gearbox looks amazing.
Enjoy mounting it all back up.
Btw whats the spec on this now? You having phase chips or whatever?
i bet you cant wait to get it running again :)
Looks quality Nick.
Hows your ECU hunting going?
Looking very good mate, engine and everything looks amazing.
Epic !
Iain

Nothing groundbreaking I know but I just wanted a strong and safe spec that will last. Shaun had the previous engine rollered at courtenay some time before I bought it and it made 280bhp. How accurate that is Im unsure! Im not one to talk power figures but with it now having a fresh engine coupled to the quaife sccr box and new equal shaft setup it should make a pretty quick car! :)
Nick.
Thanks Matt, The ecu hunt is no more......... The car will be setup properly and carefully monitored on exactly what chips it has in the ecu now. If it turns out they do need changing I will do so then. Their was never any proof the map was to blame and their was a few other faults found which could have well contributed on a 85-90k engine. Ive spoken with Eds direct and they will sell me an electronic kit with the switch for approx 280 euro and I know exactly what Im getting then. With all the poorer quality chipset makers using their name on their inferior chips its hard to believe when buying a second hand ecu that whats inside is indeed genuine or not even if it has a power switch. My mk4 let astra had phase two chips and a genuine looking switch wired in but it never actually did anything! The car just ran at the higher boost level all the time.Quote:
