Anything more been happening Craig ?
LOL. I forgot I had it tbh..... Currently waiting for new track rods to be made. Other than that she's MOT ready. Pretty pished off I'm gonna have to drop the rack out & let all the fluid out of the PAS system though.Quote:

This not done yet.... ;)
I could hop in it & drive to yours now.... old bill might have other ideas though. lolQuote:

Also, pages back you were looking for your switchable live, have you any pictures of it as I'm having difficulty finding mine.
Someone give this man some motivation!
Andy. I LOVE YOU TOO!
On a sensible note, I have been making enquiries with the people I need to sort me my track rods. I will probably take the rack out tomorrow or at the weekend, get the new rods on & pour more oil into the system.
I'm really not at all happy with my rear coilovers/turrets though. At full height the back end istoo low & unforgiving. I'm tempted to fire the dampers back at AVO & have them make up some 1.5" longer pistons & run longer rear springs. The front needs to come down a touch but not to the extent that the rear sits. Every time I drive in & out my garage I take a chunk out of the paving.
Dude I really wish you'd finish this car.
I know it sounds very gay and all but you don't have the money like Rick Draper does or the amazing technical skills like Lee303 (I'd like to point out here I'm having a go at no one and am not knocking anyone's ability) but what you have done is build a car with some really really neat touches and you've really grafted and learnt a lot from it.
Therefore you're an inspiration to the likes of me as I see you as a 'normal' chap whose managed to build a pretty damn good car IMHO.
And I want a ride in it.................
Dude you can have a go for yourself if you ever pop down.
I'll post it in our regional section when I get full details, but there might be a car show in Mendips/Cheddar during August that we could all use as a meet up. Lots of rally clubs in attendance & likely camping too.
That'll be a job for a "experienced" female then lolQuote:

Do you run front Avo's? How low are you trying get it to sit? Avo fronts dont go that low at all.
The most mine can go is at a guess, about 65/70mm. And that gives pretty much no damper movement...
The front is on some custom -50mm tarmac rally springs w/KONI adjustables. Its OK but I'd like it a tad lower, however the rear is totally slammed & I've wound the spring platforms up as far as I can. I guess the turret tops are a bit too high..
Ideally I'd have coilovers upfront too but can't afford them tbh. I'd sooner have a fortnight in the sun.
Just get some longer rear springs, of the same poundage, to give you adjustment back.
The current springs are pushing the damper pistons up as far as they will go however. The piston needs another inch on its length (or lower the turret tops).
Ahh, i get you.
Result :thumb:.
Did you get the track rods sorted?
lokking good fella :thumb:
No still havent done it..... :roll:Quote:
