Whats happened to the roof? have i missed something?
Roof has some kind of reaction in the paint, bout the size of a 20p coin, bit strange as it's only appeared in last few months
At the time I found it, it seemed like the build was going backwards, just hope it all comes together in next few weeks so I can get some use out of it before I put it away for the winter
Edd
Ah yes i remember now..
Funny thing is in last 3-4 months Ive noticed a small 20p size patch that kind of bubbled/blistered on my track car's roof, it's really random, looks like bird poo acid burn, but it's under the laqure..
/if your's is solid white can you not try polish it out?
Scott

More over next few days, got the camber shims on
But have trouble with the brakes, had the wrong RH handbrake cable and all the unions on my brake lines don't fit the GSI master cylinder :( I'll get round to that problem soon
Edd
Your eye to the small details put me in heaven.
Brake unions should be m10 and m12 on the MC end...
Update;
Been finishing off the rear beam swap today, Eibach camber shims are on, no doubt there is some special jig thing to set these up but I've just set it so the top of the wheel tilts in more lol thanks to Iain also for pointing me in the direction of the shims
Also fitted some new brake back plates that have been powdercoated as I wasn't happy with the painted ones
Cleaned and painted the original beam brake lines as well
Fitted new bolts/washers/nuts on the ARB and beam mounts

Also when Si (stt) dropped Craig's Flair off at my house he brought round a Megasquirt ecu for use on my 1300 turbo set up

http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/89e754ab.jpg
It was the one I was going to buy so ideal and a good price, another part ticked off the turbo list
More tomorrow
Cheers Benn, I have some other unions now
Edd
Rear camber looks spot on! Doesn't look too much from the pic.
Loving the camber, shims are very nice, better than a lot i've seen. Looks great under the rear end.
Bang on mate, looking the part now, really coming on..
Camber looked a little strange at first, if it handles crap I'll address it
Could of probably fit 185's on there now
You could always use the megasquirt to run your injection setup now and swap from dizzy to a coil pack!
Probably just wait till the turbo bits go on to use the ECU Si, just want to drive it now lol
Another update lol
Finished refurbing the column today
New top bush fitted
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/b909f445.jpg
All fitted back together
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/f64031c0.jpg
Possibly more later
Edd
Push the basted out side, i want to see full car shots! lol
What's happened to the EPAS column you fitted?
lol I'll get some over next few days, too wet ATM lol
EPAS column still won't fit right, as I want it MOT'd soon I'll come back to it later
Another update lol
Been putting the front brakes together this afternoon
Brand new GM ATE calipers, £3.50p GM pads, braided lines
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/c5bf30d4.jpg
Used some new caliper bolts as well
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...S/f6276b90.jpg
If anyone sees anything out of place in any of the pics please say as I may have missed something/fooked up
More tomorrow as I'm on a mission lol
Edd
Gorgeous, just gorgeous Edd :)
Check your bradded hoses don't need re adjusting to the other side of the stop by the banjo on the caliper, i had to do this on mine come mot, check it on lock to lock to see if they kink inward and touch your drive shafts, simple fix to over come a silly fail!
Scott
Those rear shims make the car handle funny, I wouldn't use them
But at a guess it would do anyway with the mad offset rears left as they were?
Best to let Edd see how the feel once it's all on/together, i have heard some good things about the shims of a friend who races a mk2 golf.
What rating are the bolts in the calipars? They need to be strong.
Southie, cheers
Scott, thanks for that I'll have a look at the hose tomorrow
Benn, there new GM ones
Ah cool.
I was talking about you Edd, the cars just another bloody Sport lol
Yes... lol
Oh another massive tip from me here, switch back to the GM banjo bolts on the calipers, them Goodridge kit one's are ****! far to weak, the dished head leaves about 3mm of material to ware it joins to rest of the bolt and then the hole is not much father through, I'm sure i posted in my track car about it, mine sheared of trying to nip it back up after i swapped them round, so you may need new compression washers too if you do switch anything about etc..
There not tight ATM so that's good
I did think when putting them in they looked a crap design, I'll order some new GM ones
Thanks again Scott
No worries mate, i need to get some more on mine, i borrowed one from my mate mike's lol
IIRC there all the same in the GM parts?
spotless work edd, love it!
can't see 100% but have you put a split pin in the end of the drive shaft/hub?
Scott, I'll have a look on EPC
Stu, no the pin ain't in there lol you reminded me lol cheers
Edd if you find some, and you can get some for a few quid let me know, cheers.
No probs Scott, chap on parts desk will do them at cost price for me I would think, I'll let you know
Christ is this not finished yet? Less camera work, more build work lol
lol not quite finished lol
How's the Spider coming on Mark ? :d
Spider? what Spider? erm
I've just spent the afternoon over at Edd's, credit where it's due, he spent most of the time fiddling about with his dash clocks in bits on the dining room table.
The Sport looks great, its getting closer to MOT'ing everytime I see it. I cant wait for a ride.
