Some very good points you make there Olly and I should be up on power and down on weight compared to your old car :D :thumb:Quote:

I realize you have done the turret mod for suspension travel (where as i got custom shocks). That was the highest i could physically run my car, it also had the sump around 2" off the floor.
I would guess you are looking towards a dry sump, shallower bell housing, raising the diff up (seen the sequential box mentioned).
Not really as it can end up been at the expense of droop which is also as important as travel.Quote:

+rep though - anyone else got any pics like this......?
dude it looks like that thing would weigh more than a Vectra lol
I can imagine you've seen them and I'm not sure if they're of any use but...

A Vectra?! don't you mean a car transported carrying 6 Vectras lol
Matt i have seen Austins before yes but thanks for the input - As Olly has pointed out its enough weight to give Oli a period and sh!t him self all at once plus the time factor and at then end of the day i don't want to go there atm so i will continue as i am for the moment.
lol Fairdoos.
Had a bit of a mince after Dinner with the missus tonight...
I made a start on the front cage legs to front turrets mountings
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1253.jpg
Bent up another 45mm strip
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1254.jpg
Then cut the funk out of the O/S turret
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1255.jpg
And tacked it in as before
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1257.jpg
Nice and level
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1259.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1260.jpg
Started to weld it in and clean it up
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1262.jpg
Made up another set of supports and welded those in

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...urrets1269.jpg
And the gap between the straight edge balanced on the wings and the turrets

yes, yes, yes. simple as that. :D
Turrets are funking ace, fit seams just right too.
That would handle like a dream.....NOT lol
Never fails to amaze me
be sure to run a seam of weld across the top of the front strengthening support on the offside, wouldn't want filling up with water and rusting from the inside out :D lol
Do you mean my attempt Darling?Quote:

That's totally the reason my Fiesta rally machine had modded turrets, can set the ride height low if desired and still have lots of lovely suspension travel.Quote:
