Was self-employed carpenter till December, got a job on books, three weeks in they laid everyone off as they lost there contracts for the New Year, so about 5 weeks without a job now.Quote:

Chris (16v) kindly let me sit in the passenger seat of it at elvington a few years ago, can't remember the spec of the engine he had in it at the time but the only thing that caught us all morning was an elise with a lot of money spent on it! Unfortunately the tie-bar to crossmember bolts (the 2 long ones) dissappeared on the left shortly before lunch, resulting in the left front wheel wobbling about a fair bit and the afternoon spent generally mincing around after 10 laps in my SR, which still had the 1.3 in it back then (that overheated a month or so later to the point it boiled the oil on the M1).

All thanks to you dude... I just get frustriaghted i don’t have money to chuck at it like I would wish.
I really should get some work done on it soon, I’ll order some bonnet pins tomo for the new boonet,tail gate, and bumpers.

So need some input on how i should mount thes Astra 16v vents as air intakes into Olly H's old F/G bonnet i bought just after christmas.
Had a bit of brain storming on it today...
Just not sure which way to go for!

I don't think they will work as intakes. Probably more effective as vents. However your engine bay has good ventilation for hot air.
Are you sure you want to put them on?
look at the shiiiiiiiiiiiiine on that bonnet!
first pic looks be best from an asthetic point of view :thumb:
but obviously definately not from a performance gain as they're going either side of the throttlebodies.
to maximise air in, the intake could do with being more towards the front of the bonnet, so the air runs along the top of the rocker
