Next up, I got a brand new VW golf mk1 fuel filler neck and chopped it to fit the back of the saloon and teh mk1 golf filler neck replacement panel which I welded in earlier..

Gave the gearbox a clean with some petrol, then the ally cleaner a further 8 or so times...still just needs a bit more though, but looking good anyway..

Also paint stripped the rocker cover and cambelt cover, then preped ready for painting - which I'll do when I get round to doing the car..

Next I trial fitted the front wheel for the 1st time... Looks like some custom shocks are in order, as the damper was fully compressed at that height...
Also I'm going to mak up some adjustable tie bars and arms to bring the wheel in a little..
