Well i only need MAX. of 3 metres (even that will be a bit much) as I will be using the feed pipe as the return and will just replace the feed line. So from a motorfactors it should be around 6-8 quid (much better)Quote:

Christ you've primed all of the insides? I wouldn't wet sand it tho.
whats wrong with priming all of the inside? i can see more pros than cons for doing so, especially the state it was in.
also its an epoxy primer, i new i wouldnt be painting it straight away and didnt want it to start rusting before i got round to paint.
todays progress----
today i set about spraying the paint and laquer to the inside of the car.
mixed the paint to the correct ratios then gave the inside 3 coats of subaru sonic blue (world rally blue or 555 blue).
let this flash off then i applied my laquer. gave it around 5 coats. im quite impressed with the finish i got considering the sprayer i was using and im no professional painter. the conditions didnt help either but it will do.
sorry for the bad pics.

i found my old filler cap from my first wide arched nova, thought i could use this somehow in this one. only problem is i cant find the key, its in my house somewhere.:tard: im sure mocal could supply me with a new barrel and key.
wasnt sure where i wanted to move the filler cap to, but had 3 options.
1.weld up the original cap hole and smooth it off, then drill the hole to have this in the place it is originally.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC00017.jpg
2. have it mounted below the door catch.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC00016.jpg
3. have it mounted where the plastic vent is.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC00015.jpg
no matter which i chose i would have to weld up the old filler cap recess.
cleaned up the area ready for welding.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC00022.jpg
i then made a plate to weld to the inner part of the recess. then a larger plate to smooth the bodywork over. welded these in and ground down the welds. just got to fill it out now with fibreglass and filler.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC00024.jpg
decided on option 3.
so i fabricated a plate to fill out where the vent would go, will weld this in tomorrow and drill out the hole for the cap.

should have an update tomorrow.:)

Inside looks mint now that it's been painted. :thumb: I like the fuel filler in the door but it's a bit inconvenient. Slowly taking shape.

then i drilled the hole for the cap to fit into, think i mis-judged it as its a bit low. thinking about re-doing it, will have to weld a circular bit back in and drill another hole higher up. the striker is at the highest point it goes in this pic, it does sit lower when the door is on and closed.
what do you lot reckon?
