and they are to heavy lol.
and those bits were of ebay :)
They're not dear, and they'll handle a darn sight better than a dolomite.
mine is so nice to drive! you can pick them up for less than £1k and sell the bits off it! Or buy a 1.8 for a little more and save yourself money on a sump, dizzy and rwd conversiona dn engine mounts, plus g/box.
hmmm you have my attention. tell me more lol.Quote:

Go for the 1.8 berlinetta saloon! It'll have all the bits you need. I'm running a few goodies on mine, nout that is too dear to source.

ok, seeing as it was pissing it down today, i jumped in the shed to do some more work on the engine as opposed to the rusty nova.
got a piston ring groove cleaner through the other day, so first job was to clean all the shizzle out of the grooves and generally clean them, the tool works really well and im chuffed with the results.
Pistons after a really good clean.

then came the piston rings, i have never done these befor so was a bit cautious as i didnt want to brake any.

so first set of three on the lowest groove (2mm).

Second ring, noting the TOP on the piston ring

and Third,

i also did have a tool to help, but found doing it with my fingers to be better. i didnt brake any thank god,
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...6/DSC_2883.jpg
then i cleaned up the conrods and put in their new bearings, noting that 4 have a hole and 4 dont so they have a specific place
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...6/DSC_2872.jpg
thats about it for today. gonna probably get some new circlips for the conrods and also need to get some sealent for the main bearing on the flywheel end.
