Where did you get the pully(s) from?

well i doubt ill ever find another one
its just one pulley, i found the entire alt covered in crap in the corner of the scrappy, as i was walking out the door
1986 2L petrol tranny lol

and with that pulley on its slightly larger so a halfords 775a belt fits the charger perfect :)

the bit i'm worried about is that you are using the altenator as an idler on the drive to the charger. the charger will consume maybe 50hp to produce the extra 50 odd hp of boost. the v belts onto an alternator will be marginal at best to handle that, let alone the bushes of an alternator.

I don't think superchargers would have been used so widely if they required the same level of bhp as they create!

I'd expect a 20% leach in output bhp to drive itself, but I have some heavy reservations about a v-belt being able to transmit enough energy to drive the blower (when it's compressing air).

But for now I just wanna see if it will work, might do, might not.

theres NO other way of getting it to run lol

unless i run a pulley from the cam belt lol
but then the belt would run thru the TB lol
