Ended up cranking it forever yesterday and the oil pressure light wasn't going out. Also forgot to disable the injectors so during that time it was firing fuel in, grrrr. How long does it usually take for a 'new engine' to get oil pressure?
After that the battery died so I left this and armed with some high strength loctite:

I put my studs in. Fronts are 48mm exposed length:

And rears are 38mm exposed length. Had to be careful on the rears to stop winding them in at the right point otherwise it would force the flat section down and screw up the threads in the drum:

Get the thing started to day.
-
Its going to take as long as it took before to make it build oil pressure, Poss longer this time.
-
I'm thinking it hasn't built up oil pressure before, I may have got confused. Just had it going for another minute and it's not doing it again. I might try a different set of clocks just in case, seeing as these ones are fairly knackered since the oil pressure gauge fiasco.
As I'm feeling a bit fed up with the motor, I trial fitted my new wheels as a bit of a pick-me-up, just need to decide colour.

Nut only just fits on the rear studs, maybe I should have gone for the longer one so I can use spacers if required...

Twit twooo, those wheels are looking nice.
And i vote to keep them white ;)
-
White looks okay in the picture but in person they're far too bright compared to the car colour. So if they're staying white they'll need a repaint.
-
White with a red lip to match the pin stripe, depending how bad the colour difference is it might hide that too :)
-
repaint matching white with mentioned red rim tape.
Job done :thumb:
-
White but to match the bodywork.

30 seconds around the track, and they will be darker with brake dust ;)
