Binned the roof rack (im going to purchace a new one which I can mount quickly when I need it), the rear slideup bar and pre fitted the spoiler so all the holes are drilled in the right place, and will prevent me scratching it after paint :)

As much as i badly want to continue mincing with the loonaq, i have to start prepping for the big weekend of paint which is fast approaching. Ventured down to the auto paint supplies and spent a wad on everything we should need (should be the last expenditure on the van now bar a tyre and the tracking once its lowered).
Got the bumpers off and started fitting the splitter using screws and adhesive.

Tommorow it should be 90% there. We're going to put it back together, and then in the afternoon i intend to have the wheels on it!
will look good when its all done :thumb:
yay, second almost successful spray job done :d , Tbh i thought i had set the gaunlet abit tight, esp as we had a few hours down time. BUT we bloody well did it lol, driven in, basic strip/scotched and painted in 17 hrs (with me catching a few winks cos i'm not fussy and can sleep on a concrete floor when needed lol lol ). This is no great feat in many eyes, but for two people who dont really have much of a clue, with basic tools, it was a good feeling lol :thumb:
Nice one.
Definately :) Just want to see it back together now!Quote:

Lee youve been officially "pie'ed"
In an xzibit style
Sorry i ment "pimped"
Good work:). IMO its a must to turn upto work in tidy clean and smart looking van. Its generally a pretty accurate way to instantly assess what kind of work will be done by its occupants. The exception to this rule are a few of the gypo vans which can be brand new minters. In that circumstance all you need to do is look at the occupants and ask them if they "loike dags"lol
Is there going to be a bit of subtle signage? My bro has got some magnetic signage he can take off.
looks very good as CP said, i seen a taxi the other day with magnetis signage, really good stuff.
Thanks Charles. Yeah, it has been mucho embarrasing turning up in that thing. Not getting it sign written as i normally contract for people who want me working under their company name.
Anyway.. back together :)
This is how it sat after re attaching the bumpers, mirrors, spoiler, plates and badges. You can also see a cheeky exhaust trim i added the other day. Nice subtle touch I think.

I was planning to stay and watch the F1 with Dan, but couldnt help myself and had to go down the kwick fit fitters to get the tyres swapped over

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0082009100.jpg
Then I had one final mince about fitting the mud flaps and the bee sting lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0082009101.jpg
Words cannot describe how chuffed i am with this! Over the moon to say the least! Ive worked out that ive spent about £800 on it, and I rekin ive added over a grand to the value easily.
Tommorrow i need to sort out the innards as they are now letting the exterior down, not the other way around!! Also need to source some side repeaters.
And just for reference, one more pic of how it used to look lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...7082009083.jpg
looks so much better lee great work i love the white against the blue
Thanks Steve. Yeah, its a kind of throw back to my first track nova lol
