Dont wish to sound like nugget but what is it you did with the chassis leg ?? most i have seen have been cut ou and boxed or battered with ahammer !! The way you have done it is far better in my eyes.
Yeah i only slitted the chassis leg, and gently pushed it back with a soft mallet and simply re-welded it. the engine sits on solid mounts so doesn't move that much. There's loads of room to change the alternator belt too.
Tidy mod, how much did you push it in by approx ?? Saw your car in Total Vauxhall and i have to say it inspired me to build a similar car. Ive bought two Novas. One is a 1988 1.2 Swing with ony 24k on it and the other is a Courtenay build car with an xe fitted but the shell is rotten now. Ive been reading your build as a step by step guide to help me when i start my build.

Nah, i'm feeling the need to remove it altoghether, for a less obvious mild steel pipe the same diameter as the rest of the system, plus it exits the bumper at an angle, and i want it exiting straight.Quote:
