By sunday afternoon I had the primer on the bumpers rubbed down and the other various items ready for paint.........

Then later just like the shell I hit them with a black coat of primer followed by base and clear..............

With all that done a little worse for wear I wandered off home to enjoy what was left of my weekend.... not much! :(

Over the course of monday and tuesday eves one of our panel guys carefully fitted the car back up for me. New number plates,badges all round and a couple of wheel arch trims as well as dealer tax disc holder/stickers went on just for good measure. By the time Id applied the paint work sealer and a few coats of collinite we had this........

A job well done I think. Normally I wouldnt have gone this far with a daily but this is a definate keeper for a few years for myself and the missus so the hard work will be worth it.

To the nova then........ A few more parts have been aquired recently and I've also booked it in for engine removal and strip down within the next few weeks. So pretty soon I'll know exactly what caused the failure and can look forward to the rebuild to have it ready for next years show season etc.

Thanks Edd, As said above the engine/box will be out within the coming weeks. Once the engines stripped and we know what the problem is we can act accordingly etc. Pretty sure the block will be bored/honed and fitted with a good set of mahles. Crank will be checked while were at it. The head will also be freshened up too. It will be mainly a standard rebuild with arp's and brand new parts all round.
