Saturday morning I was back in to rub down all previously applied filler. A few hours rubbing and I was at this stage......

Here's how the bonnet looked close up...... look at all the white dots!

With the front end being so peppered I knew there would be a possibility Id missed some chips also I decided the only way to go would be to prime the first third of the bonnet using a think high build primer. Off into the booth it went..........

And primed/guidecoated.......

Whilst the car was baking in the oven I went off to rub down the filler on the plastics.......
Front bumper rubbed and ready for primer........

The front bumper was just as bad as the bonnet so I decided to again use high build primer to get it perfect etc.....

The repair on the rear bumper was primed at this time also.......

You just can't help yourself mate!

Once the primer had baked on the bonnet I had the car back out of the booth and sheated up under the bonnet to keep things clean whilst wet flatting a fair bit of high build primer.........

A little while later I had that rubbed and ready to be cleaned up........

By late afternoon on the saturday the shell was masked up and degreased in the booth ready for paint........

Everywhere has been backmasked or carefully masked along existing edges so no masking lines/paint edges will be seen at all once finished.

That was it for saturdays action, I left the car to airdry as appose to baking it as I always feel the finish flows out better than when forcedried (baked) and your less likely to have other issues also. sundays action coming shortly.
