What's wrong with the linkage? I've had it in when I was mocking the shifter up and it feels AWESOME, the whole setup feels really good.
Cheers Peester, I might put it on my list of future things-to-do, I should really be focussing on getting up and running with standard parts. :)

the linkage - ill just say sit in a non-running car it might seemingly fire through the gears ok enough, but out there heat-of-the-moment and that.. you might find it different..

But it should only be a matter of adjustment.
may I suggest moving the battery to the NSR corner of the boot (not in well), for optimum weight distribution...?
I did think this but was not going to mention it, i did it with mine as it was located in the well, so i moved it, also means i can if need be carry a spare wheel..Quote:

Thanks for the suggestion Olly, I've been discussing the topic with Nova Ian actually who has all your old kit and is putting it in the same place as you did. As I saw it, behind the rear wheels isn't the optimum place for it anyway, so figured low down and as far forward as possible would be best - i.e. in the spare wheel well. Depends if the offset weight benefits outweigh the having it lower down?
Mike there's yet more rollcage in the way of putting it behind the passenger seat lol
Doh lol its gonna have to be the rear then for you (ooh err) Ive just checked in the Corsa & with the pass seat in its gonna be mega tight to fit a battery behind for me aswell :SQuote:

Yeah I get the offset weight distribution/offset thing, but the lower the weight is the better also, which was my logic with the wheel well.
I best go to my mums and relocate mine to the underside floor then! lol
Humm, actually could i do that, as it's a sealed dry cell....??
