54 seconds dead on the handling circuit!! An excellent achievement to say the front runners were around 49 and substantially more power than yourself.. Well done Olly top skills. :)
Thanks everyone for the nice comments, and even more so those that turned up to support me/ us as 'Team Vauxhall', it has been an awesome day out - a real good experience.
Obviously being a complete Nitrous virgin, I was probably asking alot of dumb questions for those that knew about it, but there is only one way to learn right?
So, I came 2nd place overall in the FWD Handling Group, which I'm over the moon about with a 54.00s run, and the winner did a 53.97s run, a mear 0.03s better. A 450bhp Fiat Coupe who has won for the past 5 years running :( so I didn't do too bad, right?
My 54.00 run was with a 100bhp shot of Nitrous, straight in, no controller.
I took several hundred photos, along with in car footage of all my handling course runs, and 1/4 mile.
I also managed to achieve a 12.8s @ 112mph quarter, which again wasn't too bad considering its on concrete etc.
Despite the hurls of abuse my car got, not one single thing went wrong, and even enabled me to drive half way home just for the crack. No tyre pressure nor suspension was tweaked, it was literally as I took it.
It was awesome meeting all the friendly new faces, too many to name and the most thanks goes to Jonboy for the constant help, advice and encouragement throughout the weekend to get me the results I achieved :)
