i'm really feeling for you mate!
Cheers. Its proving to be a real emotional roller coaster now.
I was ready for an MOT, now I'm not.... Going to look at the brakes & electrics tonight, if I dont have any joy, theres no way I'll be taking it to PV tbh.
NNNNOOOOO Dont give up hope yet. you have got this far its not much left now, keep at it bud your be gutted when its not at the show knowing you got that close, and if there is any bits you need let me know as im sure i would have a spare
Craig, there's a good chance myself and Lee will be about on Tuesday whilst the exhaust is being done at TSR (unless we hang about there as they do it, or they do it quick lol).
If you're free we could pop over and lend a hand with anything? Lee is tres good at stuff lol
Well, if you guys are at a loose end, by all means pop over. I'm in work though, but will take the car back home to mine tonight. It must be an earth or something simple but I've not disturbed anything to my knowledge, which makes the problem solving all the more head scratching....... I noticed during the day I'd lost the interior light when the doors were open but I've got no dash lights or gauges when the engine runs, no hazards, the alarm beeps after its been armed (alert to no battery power perhaps).
Maybe I'll do a half day tomorrow & go in half day wednesday, as I'm booked off from Weds to Tuesday next week.
I really really hope it's an easy fix for you Craig.
Chin up
Lets hope so. If it doesnt play aball tonight I'm definately going to abandonm it to the garage until I can be bothered with it, which may be some time.
I will actually cry if you do that, this car NEEDS to be finished. The amount of time and effort you've invested in it...........Quote:

I only wish I had a clue how to fix it.
Gonna go & check some fuses in a bit & maybe see if its decided to behave over night, left the brake pedal depreesed overnight with a stick & the reservoir cap off.
try the earth in the boot just next to the catch above the carpet that came loose on mine lost every thing apart from engine:thumb:
You can do it mate, cant be nothing serious...
hopefully this will help get you in the mood to finish the beast :D

Its now one washer bottle and an MOT away from being at PVS :D
That's not gonna solve anything. When the pedal is depressed the breather port is sealed off from the system, so no fluid can fill any voids created by air. What happens as you press the pedal is, the piston moves down the mastercylinder bore and momentarily (1-2mm ish) after travel has started the pressure seal will have passed the hole that goes to the reservoir (breather port) so the system is then sealed and pressure generation begins. If air or fluid is to be expelled from the system it needs to be replaced by fluid from the reservoir, so the piston (and therefore pedal) needs to be fully released.Quote:

Still happy though & it rips! :D :thumb:
Good news its all sorted.
Bad news on the mot, welded steering arms fail? Wtf? Lol
What reg/year is the car?
Can you sort it before PV? :(
bloody hell, you've gone through the mill with this. fingers crossed and all that:thumb:
:thumb: Its always the annoyning problems that end up being simple lol So easy to make that mistake!!Quote:

It wont be coming at the weekend sadly, maybe I could've gone all out & spunked more time & cash on getting it through an MOT, however I just feel its not worth rushing for the sake of a weekend away that could turn into a nightmare seeing as the car is a bit sketchy & unproven at this point with next to no miles on it. Brakes feel fantastic though.
I'm just happy that it does infact go (and stop) & I have been able to drive it accross town with no nasty issues, so after all this time. Its almost ready.
However I remind myself about the 25 year Nova celebrations & feel gutted again. Can't believe she'll miss it! Grrrrrrr!
find a better test station mate.
Can't be bothered now tbh. I wanted it tested by Weds/Thurs & have a couple days to clock up some miles & sort other stuff out.
The prospect of driving it up the motorway is just not happening right now tbh. I'm not happy with the rear spring rates either. Waaaaay too stiff.
gutted for you craig, chin up.Quote:

Tis a shame Craig :(
I do agree with you though in that theres no point rushing the last bits for the sake of a weekend as you've spent so much time and effort prior.
Still, theres Billing to aim for :thumb:

C'mon craig, you've two days!
Trailer it?
Gutted to hear that you won't be going craig, some much time and effort has gone into it, personally if it was me i'd still try to get it there, have you got breakdown cover?
Craig, It would be MINT if you can get it to PV!
Seriously though I really think you should try and get it to PV being the 25th anniversary. A frame and a protective convoy?
Can those Banzai boyos not help you out?
Anyways look forward to meeting you turnip head dude!
I'd need a minor miracle, tax, MOT & insurance in the next 24 hours..... It aint happenin!
I had it out to adjust up the fr wheel bearings & tighten up a fuel pipe clip.
Took these pics before the wheels get sold tomorrow at PV.
