It's about time! lol
Even tumbleweeds have regrown into beautiful plant life since the last update on this lol
So you girls wanted to see some progress, here is a sneak peak for you:
Bracing the front so we can fit the new chassis legs, front panel and inner wings without the trouble of not aligning...

More to come over the next weeks!
Oh and before you ask, the roof had too much rust in the inside where the sunroof cassette goes. Hence why we are cutting it out, also having new A pillars and rear quarters means he can cut out all the shit sections and use the original spots to weld the whole panels back on. In the end it's less work and gives a more smooth finish compared to cutting out sections and welding and prepping them.
Basically all the outer panels will come off to be replaced by NOS original GM panels I've been sourcing over the last 5-6 years.
Bloody hell your going to town on this.
Great to see the car is being saved. :thumb:
Cool now thats the proper way to fix the rust
Good man! Time for a nosey mate. Can't fault your meticulously planned restoration. Love it. 👍

 Carnt wait to see how this turns out do love a silk violet
Hope it all goes to plan Jeff
Why isn't this sick project on our own dutch forum? :(
Nice work!
Cheers guys!!
@LeonStr I'm not a fan of the Dutch forum, I was on there but I've removed all my posts and Pastry has removed my profile.
Dont try and cut/grind the roller weld in the roof gutters out. The bottom skim is so soft and weak. Believe me. Clean it up and sit it on top.
I have new rear quarters and new A pillars Benn, he is refabricating the sections between the A pillars and the rear quarters so the roof will be supported be new roof gutters. Roof panels will be glued in at the roof gutters (with a typical spot weld here and there) and will get spot welds at the front and the rear as per original.
So, I've picked up the steel to fabricate a cart where the brackets for aligning the chassis will be welded onto. Looks well over-engineered if you ask me. But I got a great deal on the steel, was cheaper getting 150x150x8mm than 80x80x8mm in the end.
Next stop is that they will cut out the rear panel and rear quarters up to the roof... Also the rear floor section will come out as I have that new.

Was the shell that bad?? Looked pretty good from previous pics.
Yes, front chassis legs incl front panel are gone. Inner front wings are completely gone at the bottom. Roof was dented and bad. Rear quarters, inner rear wheel arches and sills are gone and rear panel as it had a tow bar mounted that had rust on all 4 holes where the tow bar was mounted. Usual places as door bottoms, rear hatch and wings are also bad.
Nice one
So we have progress!
First they cut out the rear quarters, rear panel and half the rear floor pan:

http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/...pssc7gviri.jpg
After that they removed the front of the rear floor pan to reveal the rear chassis legs:

Is there any corsa A left before they start rebuilding it? might as well off constructed a new shell! lol Top work by your guys though, they look like they clearly know what they are doing and how to go about it. :thumb:
So, the LH chassis leg has been cut out, blasted and is now undergoing repair on the spring suport plate.
The RH chassis leg will be swapped for a new one.

Any updates on this one?
Afraid there will be no more updates on this one. Jeff (Vlietje) has decided to break it after realising he couldn't find enough time to continue (and subsequently finish) the restauration. The legend lives on though as many bits are now with keen enthousiasts throughout the UK. :)
