As they clearly do, like here?lol
They need adapters made up to fit... A mate of mine is building a Chevette hatch rally car and has the adapters to run 16v front calipers. There was a guy on the Chevette forum making a batch a while back.
where do the adapters go. and what do they adapt?Quote:

and the discs, i have been informed you use audi 80 discs and redill them?
or as rob said get a set of spacers for the normal discs.
and matt, can you see in the first pic, the disc bolts to the back of the hub, you can see some bolts just about.
it is a weird set up and confussed me first time lol.
and a small update today, i had to grind the calipers a small amount for the ATS classics to fit over and spin, all done and they spin freely. pics to come sometime lol.
No idea lol, I'll find out for you. Not sure what forum my mate is on, but his ID is "Ross Cheeks". Nordic Blue chevette hatch with a 1256 on a split 40.
What is the spec of you wheels? offset etc. A guy who lives a couple of houses along is building a couple of Chevettes and was using my nova to test what 13" wheels will fit over 16V brakes. He was struggling.
he cant use your nova to test them, as they have different brake set ups, as you can see above,Quote:

and my calipers had a shave lol.
can you get some pics of the adapters at all?

Well yesterday I finally got 5 minutes to go to Eurocarparts and check on the audi brake discs http://www.chevettes.com/oldforum/im.../icon_cool.gif
Ordered them and went back this morning to collect them.
Nice Brembo vented discs, 256 dia, 22mm thick, 56.5mm height http://www.chevettes.com/oldforum/im.../icon_cool.gif
ECP Part number is: 104440150
List price: £22.50 each http://www.chevettes.com/oldforum/im.../icon_wink.gif
Just need to get the new holes machined and the centre bore enlarged now http://www.chevettes.com/oldforum/im.../icon_wink.gif
seems good :D
Well, we tried it up for reference as the disc and caliper are still going to be the same sizing regardless of the offset of the mounting point. They are still fitting within the wheel.
I will ahve a word with my mate here' his shovit
I sadly work for Euros... Sounds like someone booked thos out cheaper than retail. :dQuote:

That Chevette XE that Bazil posted up doesn't stay that far from me ;)
Have you tried a nova rad??
hey scott, no i havent, as i doubt it would cool a 2.0 effectivly?
i was thinking astra/calibra next.
and some more small progress on making my alternator bracket, will finish it tomorrow.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...6/f235a871.jpg
p.s thats a rough outline shape lol.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...6/b5f507f2.jpg
Nova rad is fine for a 2.0 lol, people run the larger GTE/GSi ones on LET's.
i have one :p
But all EX novas use is a GSi rad mate. mines got a 1.6 nova GTE/GSi rad and i have no cooling issues, it's just been hit by my old manifold a few times and now leaks slightly when cold.
Scott
i have a calibra that im breaking atm so im gonna nick the rad off the tomorrow to see what its like, mainly because its free :D
thanks for your advice.
