Benn's on going build

Funking thing!
Been under and in it all day!
Right nova gsi shafts, are 22spilne on the inner end, and 28 on the out... So the cvs i have for the outer are wrong. Funking cont bags.
So i need a pair of cvs, then are 28 inner spline and 33 hub end... funk!
But i can now get a shalf out in under 4min.... Which is great.

Swaped to my other gsi shafts (ones i painted a few pages ago)

Everything seamed to fit and work ok, built it all up

Fitted it and same thing! :mad::mad:
So i now need to sit and look thru the cv joint book and find the right ones, that are 28 slipnes on the shaft and 33 for the hub... hoping i can do it and find them to moz.. or i'm funked.
So pissed off with that i thought i'd swap the rear arb...

Beat the old one out.. cleaned it up and fitted the new one.

So wheels back on and they needed a good clean, so wanted to try my megs metal polish

Not impressed! Came out ok in places but bits have gone misty...(polish is still on the wheels in the pics)
So gonna have to clean them up with something else then wax them.
Ride hight has settled a bit.. Should and will be lower.

Nice wheels, they came out really nice, I was not sure if I was gonna like them.

Sorry to hear about your hub and driveshaft hassles. If its any use, I got some GTE 22 spline shafts and put them on my trade account :thumb: (they were still around £200)

Try using some autosol on them man, then put wheel wax on them (thats actually what its called) Il try and find you a link for it.

edit: heres the stuff i use at work man, its **** hot. Would really protect the wheels. Not sure where you could get it from, we just get it in every so often when we run out. Try some of these detailing websites, if you cant get it and fancy some il send some to you. Or bring it to pvs.

Wheels look minted mate - How did you go from a 4-stud Speedline setup to a 5-stud Cav Turbo setup so quick ??

djshaggeh: wont work, cant get the right cvs, so i've had to fork out to get new shafts.

Prob is autosol has a cut, with can mark the finish.. looking at the link now.

Wheelwax doesnt really workthat much on polished alloy...
Its more of just a strong wax.

The swapping of bits itsnt hard. Its just under bolt then rebolt back together (if it all gos ok)

very nice indeed.

to think that i didnt like turbo rims going back a few years.....

but to be honest i wouldnt even dream of putting any oither set on my cavalier turbo.

clean standard i think is the way to go lol.

Yeh i was thinking of the wax more of a way as protecting them?
