All will be revealed on the painting front. Admittedly I'm not being too fussy with time against me and the fact that its a trackday basher and not a show car but I did bother to mask the handbrake uplol

Firstly I assembled all the necessary materials. There's quite alot of stuff needed if you are applying 2 pack paint. Along with the paint itself (base and top coat) there are hardeners, thinners, special measuring sticks, mixing containers, a special mask (strictly speaking 2 pack should not be applied without a wearing a clean air respirator)special filters and pre paint cleaners

I use this range of wet and dry paper as the bare minimum. I could really do with some more P500. The smaller the number the co****r the paper. I like to use the scotch brite pads for a lot of prepping work cos they are quick but they do leave a lot of bits about.
One of the advantages of the 2 pack system is that it uses a universal guidance system to help you mix up the paint and hardener easily and accurately. The instructions are usually on ther side of the can and from this info you can select the appropriate measuring stick to use as shown below in the example. Its a primer filler and the paint is mixed with the hardener in a 5:1 ratio using measuring stick marked HS and use the stick as shown in a mixing container

The way i tackled the whole job was to spray the inside out fully and then mask it up again and spray the outside. Cos its a metallic paint it needs to have laquer coat to finish it off.

With the inside done I turned my attention to the exterior. I added the new wings and prepped them. Why do they always turn up dented and scratched?

Then I masked up again
