This project so far hasn't cost me anything really as all the stuff that's been done to it is stuff I've had in storage and free stuff...
Won't be painted until next year anyway

Still working away dressing up the back arches to get them ready for a coat of primer so there about ready for paint
Going to try and get the 1300 8v engine running with a standard carb I think 1st to make sure it runs then give it a mini-rebuild - Not going mega mega spec with this engine but I'll likely upgrade the cam and stick a full Eurorallye exhaust system on it with a 4-branch then paint it up with a red block and silver head etc and maybe try and source an Irmscher cam cover for it
Then the 40's will be next for a wee rebuild and service then fire them on to get it running with them :thumb:
I'll get some pics of the progress during the week
Thinking about body-colour underneath as well as this'll be a good weather/show car :)
this needs loads more pics vaughan ive got a feeling its gonna be up there with the greats :thumb:
I'll likely be in one day during the week - I'll try and find my digital camera and get pictures of the shells condition etc
Just taking my time with it now trying to make as little mistakes as possible - Learning something new every time I work on it :)
Should be nice once its done Vaughan.
But you always say a car is made to be abused...
I personally wouldn't too carried away with detail underneath, just redo rust protection well and waxoyl insides of chassis legs? You want to be able to give it the odd good hard staging without worrying about chipping paint off your floorpan!Quote:

I will be stretching the wee 1.3's legs though :thumb:
Been working away on the Nova again the day tidying up the back arches so there about ready for primer/paint - There looking tidy now, just another skim of filler and I reckon they'll be about there :)

Next time I'm there I'll finish off the arches and trim the arch lip accordingly so I can run my Speedlines on there nice and low without any problems, catching ever so slightly with 15's atm:
