as the battery is being mounted in the boot i was planning on having the cable/s come out lower down the bulkhead. ive seen on yours that your rocker cover breather goes into the bulkhead and down the inner wing to hide it, im most likely going to have to make a hole back in it or figure out a different routing to hide it. i got a bit eager with the welder.lol
with the headlining i am buying the one wilson_sri had for sale recently, which will hopefully go with my leather seats and flocked dash when i have that done.

update 14/03/10.
progress has been slow, had to repair my vec as the steering rack had burst. hasnt set me too far back though.

im still on bodywork and paint stripping atm with the nova.
decided to have a go at fitting my new rear panel, was getting fed up with it lying around and the fact it would cost me to get it fitted. reason im fitting a new one is because it doesnt look good how it is so want it to look tidyer.
this is how it started off, somebody had previously replaced the rear panel with a piece of sheet metal. whoever did the job didnt want it to come off, ever!
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC02667.jpg
went and got my mates 9inch grinder and cut the majority of the old panel out, i then tidyd it up using my 4inch cutter. some of the metal was a bit worse for ware so i cut it out.

this is the new panel, its a pattern part but fit doesnt look too bad.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC02734.jpg
placed it up there to get the idea of how it fitted and to see what id have to modify to fit it.

after a while i got it somewhere near, fitted the tailgate back on to make sure its in line with the catch.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC02756.jpg
offered up the rear bumper to ensure that lined up nicely aswell.
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...8/DSC02749.jpg
once all was ok i welded on the panel, i then ground down the welds and started smoothing out the panel. still got to sand the filler down.
i had made one error though, i only ever checked that the tailgate closed on the first click of the catch and not the second. when i came to close the boot it would butt out on the c pillars. to get around this i got a block of wood on the inside of the panel and used my trusty hammer to massage it outwards. the boot now closes perfect.
following on from the previous page i was still trying to find an easy solution for removing all the paint from inside the car. i went and bought a 80grit sanding disc for my angle grinder. it does a decent job, much quicker than a knotted wheel for the grinder. got the boot area and the rear arches down to bare metal.

put a bit of zinc primer on it to stop it rusting until i make it a bit smoother and ready for paint.
around the tailgate where the seal and headlining had been holding moisture, it had got a bit crusty. wire wheeled it down and used kurust on these areas to sort it.
