I spoke to my mate building the V8 last night and he say's there's a T&T'd Sprint with 2.2 twin cam Lotus engine on eBay ATM, ends tonight, was on about £600. lol will finish at more like £1500 probs though.

nah lol, i dont have the funds atm and my mate/boss, is buying a tow vechile soon so we can go pick up a car. and hes not afraid to travel either. so im gonna find a minter.

i want to get the engine almost done first like built, get a box and bellhousing. and then get the car. and work out where everything will have to go. good times

ok done somew more work on this today, while the rain was preventing me from the FTW nova.

New bearings

i then put some graphogeon (sp) paste on the bearings as i wont be using the engine for a while yet. its the same stuff as assembly lube.
then the crank in and the caps on

and new bolts in as they are stretchy ones lol

just nipped them up for now, as i need to get some gasket sealent stuff from vauxhall, and also nick my mates torque wrench.

good work mate, just run a bit of scottch bright round the crank to clean the surface rust of mate !!!

ok thanks dude, willl this be ok for the bores as well? as there is a tiny bit of surface frust appearing as well
