I always prime,paint,lacqeur the covers, then tape the majority off and da/block the paint off the lettering. Then polish the lettering and relacqeur the lot. takes time but gives awesome results. Yours looks well dude :)

Repainted my mirrors too, bumper and trim should be painted ready for collecting on monday.

Looks really good Benn, i just finished mine off the other day, as first time round for PV i left the paint on, but after a lot of hrs and TLC later it came out OK, i put 3 coats of lacquar on it.

Love the opel ones, i was thinking about sanding the VAUXHALL completely off mine just leaving the DOHC 16V bit

Do like Austin did, make your own letters with filler etc.

The chrome had a nice flat finish on it and i didnt wanna mark the letters.
Took ages cleaning the back off the letters so you could see the chrome underneath.

Yeah had too, as the old lacquer had corrosion under anyway, they wer wet n dried a few times before reacquiring.
