Hey Guys,
A little update on what Ive been up to then as many were asking me yesterday at pvs! Its mainly just been finishing touches here and there were necessary. The majority of the work has been finished for some time however Im slowly putting all the loose ends together etc. Mark recently sorted me out with having some parts zinc plated some of which I used and some I thought were a little too much so didnt......
Wiper motor fittings on...........

Header and coil fixings.......

I also had headlight/grill and wing bolts plated but as said I thought they looked a bit too much so I made a trip to parts at work. Anodised black fixings have been used on the grill and headlights were necessary for a neater more oem look.......

The wing bolts have been neatly touched up instead of being replaced with zinc jobbies......

Nice neat yet subtle I feel. Another thing that I wasnt a fan of was the spare wheel well being an uber shiny mustard yellow underneath a grey bumper. If you look at the tv feature you'll see what I mean! The other weekend at work the car spent a few days on the lift at which time I cleaned and degreased the whole underside. brake/fuel lines were checked over/cleaned and the underside of the engine also got a wipe down were needed. I was surprised how exceptionally clean the car is under there with no issues what so ever! Anyhow I had a think regarding the wheel well and decided to dust a light coat of matt grey on it to tone things down etc. Heres how it looks now........

The whole of the underside was sprayed with clear waxoil including all cavitys inside the rear legs/behind sills etc. I chose clear as it shows the cleanliness of the underside and looks much neater than black shutz everywhere which in my opinion looks absolutely awful. When I have some free time next year I think the whole of the floorpan will end up matt grey too. The car now looks like this from the rear....... note uber clean exhaust too!

Once off the lift I got a couple of random but nice shots of the car......

Finally decided that the calipers are staying red too!

My equal length driveshaft has arrived also. Looks very well made so big thanks to David dixon for that. I doubt it will be on before billing but its something that can be sorted once the car comes back off the road at the end of the year etc. ....

And lastly a few pics of our new daily! The missus streetka as much as she loved it has given us nothing but grief for a good few months now so the decision was made to move it on. Ideally I saw a bmw being a wise move as a replacement due to parts/servicing being cheap when it all comes at staff rate etc. The missus has always liked mini's however I would have liked something with a little bit of poke so we went to look at a few cooper S's and ended up with this one.......

A 2002 cooper s in indi blue pearl with contrasting white roof/mirrors. I traced its history from new using our system at work to see everything its had servicing and warranty wise across the years. The schnitzer wheels have been on from new however will be replaced shortly with standard cooper s wheels Ive just won off ebay yesterday eves. Its an uber straight original car but does have a few little marks here and there but Im sure over this winter with the nova being practically finished it will give me something to tinker with! Thats all for now. cheers for reading!
