Big thanks to Browney and Marris for their help n that yesterday!
To be honest I think it was quickest thing there in a straight line all day, blew a 510bhp 2wd EsCos away, bloke was mortified. Killed a new Skyline, M3 CSL and few other exotics :D Shame I had to take it easy round the bends in the last sessions as to not blow the CV joint to pieces...
looks like you had fun mate, love the pink wheels:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::t humb:
at least we only changed 10 cv joints, and there was more oil on the floor than in the engine,cv ball bearings rolling around everywhere, i had a top day, got burnt to a crisp, and had a smile from end to end blowing every bmw csl, porker gt, and cosworth on road, its so much fun when you turn up in an old rusty vauxhall vectra pulling a gay pink wheel nova , wearing fake ralph lauren polo shirts and reebok classics, with a fag hanging out, then looking around at the pros in there 50grand race cars and fire suits tutting at us, jaws dropped as it went past everythinglol lol !! book another one i say! im game:cool:
"PNG Club.com, thats how we roll" :cool:Quote:

How on earth does the chassis crack like that?
most likely turning in hard on the brakes, which is actually a far higher force than acceleration, contrary to popular omg-its-a-let-plate-the-chassis, belief lolQuote:

also saw this at pv and you really appreciate the colour of the car more in flesh!
Car looks well Paul. Hat off for showing up some expensive machinery.
it makes it worth while, its not about how much money you have, its about how many cv joints you can change in a day! i can say, its the most fun and fastest track car ive had the pleasure of breaking and blowing uplol , and best of all it was built in a chicken shed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! new cars are crap compared to a rusty old nova!
FPMSL @ that post. What makes it even more funny is anyone that knows Paul knows "fag hanging out of mouth" describes him perfectly lol lol !!!Quote:

lol lol lol lol Well TBF Paul it would not be "you" if wore a fire suite, or didn't brake something!
Sounds like a very very fun, but also unfortunate day mate, must say the wheels work better then i thought they would, top car, top lad.
Scott
Is it Inner or Outer C.V's the car keeps killing?
Keith at guess i would say outers, but I'll probably be wrong, as it is Paul he'll do the opposite to normal! lol
its the inners it keeps killing. And I have figured out why.
When it ripped the bolt holes out of the floor (rear mount) the new bit I welded in, is 10mm too far towards the drivers side, so the short shaft is constantly at full extension, so when I go round a bend, it pulls it too far, and just kills it.
i like rolling around in cv grease and smelling of gearbox oil, it makes the track day worth it!, paul you owe me a sports direct.com air max vest as that last day killed it!!!
Do you want your Sportdirect.com boxers back Alex, they plumbed the driveshaft hole up well, but now are redundant as I have the CV back in.
only if they stink of fish!
CV grease and gearbox oil probably the worse things EVER to be rolling around in lol lol lol
i used them to soak up a puddle of old gearbox oil, so they do yeah lol
We need a new pile of rags, raid Sadie's wardrobe innit.
used pants? or a thong to mop up the puddle?
Meh Im used to it now, it used to literaly make me gag lolQuote:
